Black Ops 6 Season 3 Release Date & Countdown

Despite its recent delay, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is just around the corner and we’ve got everything you need to know about its release date here!

The Season 3 update for Black Ops 6 is one of the most eagerly-awaited releases in recent COD history, and Activision clearly knows it.

With Warzone’s original battle royale map, Verdansk, set to return to the game, and a new Zombies map believed to be dropping too, this is a major update for both free-to-play and premium Call of Duty players.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3 is set to release on April 3, 2025 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST.

On March 3, Activision announced a delay to Season 3’s initial March 20 launch date, pushing the new season back by two weeks.

The publisher claims that the delay was due to Season 3 being “a big moment” for Warzone and Black Ops 6, one that it wanted to ensure would be a great experience for fans.

What’s Coming in Season 3?

Warzone

The biggest headline for Season 3 is that Verdansk is coming back to Call of Duty: Warzone.

The original battle royale map is returning as Activision attempts to recapture the magic of what made 2020’s Warzone so great. More details are set to be released next week, but we expect a full return to the classic BR map, as well as a number of features that haven’t been seen in Warzone in some time.

However, fans likely shouldn’t expect everything to be exactly how it was back in the battle royale’s glory days.

After all, Black Ops 6’s Omnimovement and 90s-era weaponry will make things very different from the good old days, unless Activision completely reverts its formula.

Multiplayer

Of course, Season 3 is also set to bring with it new Multiplayer maps and modes, as well as multiple weapons available to unlock both via the Battle Pass and in-game challenges.

None of the upcoming content has currently been revealed, but we expect at least 2-3 guns to be teased in next week’s blog posts.

Zombies

And finally, rumor has it that a new Black Ops 6 Zombies map is also joining the fun, as leaks indicate that all future seasons except one will have a new round-based map to offer.
