Crysis Remastered Trilogy Releases in October, PS5 Enhancements Include 4K and 60FPS

Crysis Remastered Trilogy will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 15. While the collection will not be available natively on PlayStation 5, there will be a PS5 update that will offer enhancements like 4K graphics displayed at 60 FPS.

The trilogy will only include the single-player content of all three Crysis titles in the form of Crysis Remastered, Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered. It will not include any of the multiplayer aspects of the games’ original releases. While Crysis Remastered has already been released separately, Saber Interactive confirmed the other two titles will also receive separate releases on October 15. They will cost $29.99 each. The trilogy will be available digitally through the PlayStation Store for $49.99.

When the three titles were originally released, they could reach 720p resolution with a maximum of 30 FPS. When played on the PlayStation 5 with Dynamic Resolution, the games can now reach between 1080p and 4K at a more constant 60 FPS. The full list of improvements from which new-gen players will benefit are:

Up to 4K on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 at 60FPS Improved lighting meaning your games shadows and reflections look better than ever Substantial performance gains Visually enhanced weapons, characters and environments immersing you completely in the Crysis universe High-definition textures giving you crystal clear images

The difference between the original PS3 versions of the games and the remastered versions on PS5 can be seen in the comparison trailer below:

Crysis Remastered Trilogy was accidentally revealed back in November after internal development documents were leaked online. The leak also suggested the existence of Crysis Next, a battle-royale game set in the Crysis universe, as well as Crysis VR. Away from the franchise, the developer also reportedly has Robinson 2, Hunt Mobile, and Ryse Next in progress, the latter no longer being an Xbox exclusive. We’re still waiting to see whether the rest of the leak turns out to be true.
